Screen Shots - Le Secret Préférence Dévoilé
Did you catch the new L’Oréal short film that premiered yesterday? If not, go HERE to see Doutzen, Bianca, Liya, Claudia and I in our very fancy Parisian hotel rooms. I’ve been asked a few times whether the color was my real hair and, YES, that was my actual hair color for the shoot. L’Oréal dyed it specially for a few days, and then dyed it back to my normal color in order to keep it all a secret ;)
Le Secret Préférence Dévoilé
L’Oréal Paris’ new film by Paul Gore (starring Doutzen Kroes, Liya Kebede, Bianca Balti, Claudia Schiffer and myself) is finally out! I’m so THRILLED to be a part of this amazing team. Please take a look at the video above - I doubt you have seen a hair commercial this well done in a long time!

One more day until L’Oréal’s mystery continues!
Oh! My Bag! - The second campaign video for Longchamp.
Nearly two months ago I posted my first video from the new Longchamp 2012 campaign (all the images HERE), and now I’m happy to finally show you the second video! Last time I was getting pulled around Brooklyn by a cute Weimaraner puppy, and this time I’m meeting up with Liisa Winkler and Alexia Level for some choreographed fun on the streets of New York.
If you’d like to see the behind-the-scenes for this video go HERE.
Creating A Great Profile On Facebook! - By Coco Rocha
A few weeks ago my friends at Facebook asked me to create an infomercial on how users can create the most dynamic and appealing profile pictures for their new Facebook Timelines. The end result was this video in which I outline some of the common mistakes of profile photography as well as teach you how to pose - “like a model.”
If you liked this video, please post this to your Facebook page and show me how you pose by putting a link in the comments below.
JASON WU: Coco Rocha for New York Mag.
In addition to doing my own social media news blitz this Fashion Week (go HERE, HERE or HERE), I’m teaming up with New York Magazine’s The Cut Blog to bring you some fun backstage and front row moments from New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012. Check out the first installment - Jason Wu’s Chinese-themed collection with cameos by Odile Gilbert, my girls Poppy & Cara Delevingne and of course Mr. Wu himself. Stay tuned for more…
Oh My Dog! - For Longchamp, 2012
Here’s the first of two videos I shot in New York for Longchamp’s 2012 campaign. I had so much fun with this dog, and yes, he was LITERALLY pulling me in every direction - that’s not acting! Stay tuned for the next video, but in the meantime you also might like to check out the behind-the-scenes video HERE.
THIS IS WHY I HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE - I narrowly missed a little fender-bender in New York today. Luckily I’m heading out on a cruise tomorrow afternoon!! xx Coco
100 YEARS OF FASHION - East London Style
I saw this video a few days back and fell in love. The music, the fashion, the dance… such a perfect little film lasting just 100 seconds. It makes me realize what a drop in the bucket my 8 years working in fashion has been. Please do have a look.
VENICE UNMASKED - Americana Manhasset.
Three months ago I posted an album of iPhone pictures taken in Venice on my Facebook, and now I can finally reveal what exactly I was there for! Americana Manhasset invited me to be a part of their fall campaign, shooting on location amongst the beautiful canals, bridges and palazzos of Venice, Italy. This was the second time I worked with Americana Manhasset on a fashion film - you might remember that in 2007 we shot a great little feature together in Paris (link HERE).
Have a look at this short film, and coming up next is the behind-the-scenes video which I think is equally fun!
LAGERFELD FOR MACY’S - Behind the scenes.
A few weeks ago I announced my part in the Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s collaboration. Now a behind-the-scenes video has been released along with Karl’s images from the campaign. Watch the video above and then check out the full campaign on my facebook HERE.
The line debuts online and in over 200 stores on August 31st!
LOU LOU - Three weeks ago I announced my partnership with Jacob on a completely Photoshop free campaign for the Canadian brand. Lou Lou magazine met up with me at the Old Port in Montreal to watch the shoot take place and to ask me a few questions about the campaign, Haiti and my nerdy use of social media. Have a look…
YouTube? I Tube! We all Tube! - In June of 2006 I first set up my YouTube account, but it wasn’t until this week that I started adding videos to it - 5 years later! I’ve been using VIMEO to host all my videos for a while now but I recently decided that parallel accounts might be good.
So, here’s my “new” YouTube channel and I’m kicking it off with an oldie but a goodie - a video my best model bud Behati Prinsloo, childhood friend Kelly Dawson and I made in our Paris hotel room years and years ago. This is the delirium that happens when models come to the end of 4 weeks of runway shows.
Add me on YouTube!
So I have to be honest - if you hadn’t already guessed it, my picture with the infamous missing Bronx Zoo Cobra a few days ago was…. a fake! The picture was actually a Photoshopped (thanks James!) behind-the-scenes picture I took a few months ago when I shot a hair commercial for Syoss (no cobra was on set).
You know how there’s always that casual slow-motion hair flick shot in EVERY haircare commercial? Well I’m going to divulge a trade secret and let you know that getting that “casual moment” right takes a series of wires, pulleys, a crew of stage hands and about 3 hours of filming to pull off. If you’d like to see the results, go HERE.
CALL OF THE WILD
Filmed and edited by James Conran
I’m seeing a theme here: Yesterday I posted a photo of the long lost “Bronx Zoo Cobra” and myself on set, though I notice many of my non-NY-followers didn’t get the joke. Today I’m posting a never-before-seen video of Siri Tollerod and I posing with an elephant and camel at Montreal Zoo this winter. It was an amazing experience but what this video cannot describe is the INTENSE fumes we battled in the elephant den all day. Also, literally every 20 minutes the elephant would release a deluge-like flood as it went to the bathroom, sending everyone scrambling to find higher ground.
Definitely an interesting shoot for Ogilvys.
