One of the biggest perks that comes with being a model is that we get to travel to some of the most beautiful locations on Earth. Thinking back on this last year, I’ve worked in cities as far-flung as Paris, Palm Springs, London, Rome, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Madrid, Monaco and Hong Kong. This summer, Saks 5th Avenue took me down to Mexico City for my first experience in the multicultural capital. I got to shoot at stunning locations like the Museo Soumaya (which looks like something from another world) and an amazing, colorful home, Cuadra San Cristobal, designed by legendary architect Luis Barragan.
As we get closer to 2013, I wonder where my work will take me next year, and I can’t wait to find out! For more images from my trip to Mexico City please go to my Facebook page HERE.
Who else watched the amazing finale of Fashion Star last night? Designer Kara Laricks became the first-ever winner of the show and her fabulous prize was a line at Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and H&M worth a whopping $6,000,000! Saks Fifth Avenue’s dapper and charming Terron Schaefer asked me to model Kara’s winning collection for the store and I’m happy to tell you that all the looks I wore are available right now!
Congratulations to Kara and to the entire team of buyers and mentors at Fashion Star on a fantastic first season. We’re all looking forward to the next!
So I finally made my way back to NY and what is the first thing I find myself doing… I was back in Louis Licaris chair getting my hair redone and then it was off to Saks Fifth Avenue, where Elite and Saks joined forces to welcome the new 5th Floor Designers. At one point Ali Stephens and I took over as DJ’s and played some good tunes… including some “Single Ladies” of course.
I see a new career for us if modeling doesn’t work out!
