VOGUE MEXICO - Cover #2 & #3 for December 2012

Going for the gold in my second and third of three golden themed covers I did for this month’s Vogue Mexico. Yes, that signature is printed on the cover - so if you didn’t win one of the 10 signed Vs. Magazines up for grabs yesterday, this could be the next best thing.

If you’d like to see my archive of all covers fromt the last 9 years (which I haven’t updated in a while, come to think of it) visit my website cocorocha.com

Sin Límite (Unlimited) - Vogue Mexico
December, 2012

It’s been 2 years since Vogue Mexico last asked me to be the cover girl and at that time it was for their 50th Anniversary Issue (click HERE). I’m very happy to be back on the cover and able to show you the first of two editorials I did for the latest magazine. Its always fun to change things up a littler and in this shoot I went back to being a red-head for the day. You might remember me teasing with a little behind-the-scenes image a few months back (click HERE) leading many to think I had actually dyed my hair, again.

Stay tuned for the next shoot, it involves me modeling in the center of the universe… ;)

MEXICO CITY via IPHONE - The perks of modeling.

One of the biggest perks that comes with being a model is that we get to travel to some of the most beautiful locations on Earth. Thinking back on this last year, I’ve worked in cities as far-flung as Paris, Palm Springs, London, Rome, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Madrid, Monaco and Hong Kong. This summer, Saks 5th Avenue took me down to Mexico City for my first experience in the multicultural capital. I got to shoot at stunning locations like the Museo Soumaya (which looks like something from another world) and an amazing, colorful home, Cuadra San Cristobal, designed by legendary architect Luis Barragan.

As we get closer to 2013, I wonder where my work will take me next year, and I can’t wait to find out! For more images from my trip to Mexico City please go to my Facebook page HERE.

MEXICO via INSTAGRAM - May 25th to 28th, 2012.

  1. My amazing view over Mexico this afternoon.
  2. Just found this Salvadore Dali-designed handbag inside the Soumaya Museum in Mexico City. Remind you of anything?
  3. Mexico City this morning - Rebecca Minkoff bag, vintage cashmere sweater.
  4. The intriguing Soumaya Museum. Just did a speed tour around the entire collection.
  5. Shooting at the most amazing location today, built by the famous Mexican architect Luis Barragan.
  6. Love this abstract reflection in the pool.
  7. I made a new friend on set today.
  8. I only hug trees that wear colorful Mexican sweaters.
  9. Dearest Mexico, I had the most wonderful time in your capital city. Thank you for the beautiful scenery, good food and great company.
Writing for NAAG - You’ve heard me talk about the online magazine NAAG.com before, right? It was started by fellow model and friend Agyness Deyn and journalist Fiona Byrne and is a place for them and friends to talk about their favorite things (yah, sorta like Julie Andrews in the ‘The Sound Of Music’).Back in December I blogged that the husband, James, was guest art director at NAAG for the month - well they have since dropped the “guest” part and hired him fulltime! He’s been doing it nearly 8 months now, but this week NAAG finally asked ME to contribute, so I sent in an article all about my crazy experience in Mexico last month along with some exclusive pictures of my one year anniversary. Have a look HERE!

HOT HOT HOT!!!by Coco RochaSomehow I’ve managed to stay completely white on this vacation. As you can see, I’m as white as the sand on the beach. I’m noticing I’ve got a few new freckles though, which I really don’t need, but what can I do? I have a collection of freckles that I already got from when I was quite young. I went to Mexico with my Dad and step family and my little brother had the key to our room which he lost. We ended up looking high and low for it all day out in the hot sun with NO sun lotion on and - VOILA!  Due to a bad sun burn I was given a package of freckles. If you look closely you can see the mark of my bathing suit from all those years ago. This time were putting on our lotion!!!
