Me Magazine - Hong Kong

Would you ever guess that this cover and editorial were shot inside a store? While attending a Longchamp store opening in Hong Kong a few months ago, the creative team behind Me Magazine cleared a bit of space and set up this impromptu photo shoot. Add a little lighting, a backdrop, and me… voila!

Behind-The-Scenes - Longchamp ‘You Should Be Dancing’

I posted the video last week and some of the images from the campaign yesterday. Now here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we put it all together. Choreographer Salim Gaulwoos explains his inspiration and concept for the Longchamp woman. I have to say, working with Salim and the Longchamp team again was one of my favorite jobs of 2012.

Longchamp S/S 2013 Campaign - You Should Be Dancing!

A few weeks ago I posted the latest Longchamp film, and now here are some of the images from my third campaign with the brand! (See the other two HERE and HERE.) We shot this on location in the iconic TWA building at JFK airport and it was choreographed by Salim Gauwloos, who you may remember made a cameo on The Face last week with me. Stay tuned for the behind-the-scenes!

Longchamp - You Should Be Dancing

I am so happy to present my Spring 2013 campaign film for Longchamp. We filmed this on location at the old Eero Saarinen designed TWA building at JFK airport, New York - a landmark location with a great vintage vibe. Salim Gauwloos was our fantastic choreographer. You may remember him as SLAM in many early ’90s Madonna videos (a certain classic named VOGUE comes to mind…) and, in addition to that, Salim has choreographed music videos for singers like George Michael and Britney Spears. Needless to say, I knew I was in capable hands!

Watch the video above and stay tuned for the full campaign and behind-the-scenes!

Longchamp F/W 12 - The Mystery Of Emily’s LegsI enjoy a good Photoshop fail as much as the next person, but when I saw blogs today (Huffington Post, I’m looking at you) supposedly pointing out a “photoshop disaster” in my current Longchamp campaign, I knew I had to correct them. According to HuffPost, Emily’s feet MUST have been photoshopped out. They even gave us a cheeky explanation of exactly how pedalling works. Accctually, as you can see in the behind-the-scenes pictures above (which were posted everywhere a few months back), she’s just balancing with her feet on the seat behind me. Skillful, I know, but no Photoshop disaster this time.
Dear Huffington Post, this is how we roll.  I believe you stand corrected! ;)XxCocoP.S I still stand behind THIS STATEMENT.

Models.com has another image from the Spring 2013 Longchamp campaign and a few exclusive behind-the-scenes images taken on location at the Saarinen terminal at JFK New York.

Take a first look at the S/S 13 campaign from Longchamp, in all its glory. Shot in JFK airport’s historic, Eero Saarinen designed TWA terminal, the campaign is all about movement; who better to embody that idea, than the jet setting, high flying and haute posing,Coco Rocha! In her third season working with the luxe brand, Coco delivers her signature acrobatic poses all while playing the part of ultra-chic traveler, a role we’re sure she’s familiar with. Fellow catwalker Liisa Winkler joins her for the journey, since every trip is better with a fashionable friend and the duo busts a move even as they head through airport security. Fun fact: choreographer Salim Gauwloos, the man behind Madonna‘s Blonde Ambition tour collaborated on the imagery. Take a first look at the new ads and the behind the scenes imagery.

LONGCHAMP - Spring 2013 A sneak peek…I’ve had such a great relationship with Longchamp over the last few years. We’ve shot campaigns in New York, Paris, and we’ve even gone to Hong Kong together. We continue our relationship into 2013 with the first sneak peek at the Spring 2013 campaign. I can’t tell you too much about it other than this is my favorite so far! Stay tuned for more…

PART 1: HONG KONG IN 48 HOURS - October 16th, 2012

This week I joined Longchamp’s Cassegrain family in Hong Kong for a whirlwind 48-hour tour of the city and to help open their new store on Canton Road. The store, now the biggest in the world, marks 30+ years of Longchamp in Asia.

  1. Driving into Hong Kong felt like entering Tron City!
  2. Hong Kong at night is spectacular - so much color and so many lights, it puts the New York skyline to shame!
  3. Sooo… I just got into my hotel room using my Longchamp key card only to find what playing on TV? The campaign Emily Didonato and I did for Longchamp! I’m sensing a theme here…
  4. Look at all these presents! I’m a very lucky girl!
  5. Just got the newspaper. As you can tell we are ALL about Longchamp today!
  6. Had a sneak peak at the new Canton Rd flagship and did a little photoshoot on-site. Tonight is the official opening!
  7. Amazing old ferry boats in Hong Kong harbor.
  8. You wouldn’t know it, but we are only about 10 minutes from the city of Hong Kong here.
  9. Chinese signs.

I’m on my way to China right now for Longchamp and am thinking of one of my first-ever times in China at age 7. No, I didn’t know this little boy - he just came up and held my hand for his parents’ picture! I felt like Mickey Mouse! I even told my mom we should charge people a Yuan per picture. Little did I know one day that pay-for-picture business plan would really pay off! :)
