Behind-The-Scenes - White House | Black Market

If you were watching TV yesterday, you may have caught the premiere of my new WH|BM commercial. Quite a few people did, and I was so happy to receive such encouraging feedback! Today I’m posting the behind-the-scenes video showing my rehearsal (it was the first time I’d ever done tap dance) and a few exclusive on-set interviews.

Directed by Johan Renck.

Versace For H&M - Tonight!

Everyone in New York is talking about the big fashion show happening tonight: Versace for H&M! Prince and Nicki Minaj are the musical guests and I’m SO EXCITED to attend. I’ve been privileged to walk in quite a few Versace shows over the years, but never have I been to Versace as a guest in the audience! I took a look through the archive this evening to post some of my favorite Versace runway outfits and backstage memories. I particularly love the picture of a baby Karlie Kloss and I and the picture of Agyness Deyn, Behati Prinsloo and I from a show in 2007 - now that’s a terrible trio!

To see all my Versace runway pictures go to my archive at COCOROCHA.com

JACOB - Behind The Scenes.

Last week I showed you the first look at the Jacob campaign, and now I’m happy to show you yet another behind-the-scenes fashion film, which means I’ve posted four videos in one week! Are you tired of them yet? Don’t answer that… ;)

As you might remember, Jacob and I took a stand together to promote a healthy body image with the company’s ‘No Retouching’ policy on this campaign.

Filmed in Montreal, June 2011.

VENICE - Behind the scenes.

Here is Americana Manhasset’s classic behind-the-scenes look at top male model Sean Opry and myself as we dance our way around Venice, Italy. Let me just say, there is a very good reason Sean is considered the best working male model around! We had an amazing time with an absolutely wonderful crew and I will always cherish this week we all spent in Venice.

LAGERFELD FOR MACY’S - Behind the scenes.

A few weeks ago I announced my part in the Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s collaboration. Now a behind-the-scenes video has been released along with Karl’s images from the campaign. Watch the video above and then check out the full campaign on my facebook HERE.

The line debuts online and in over 200 stores on August 31st!

LYTRO - behind-the-scenes.

Yesterday I posted some of the amazing new images we created with photographer Eric Cheng and the revolutionary LYTRO camera technology. If you haven’t seen and played with the images already, I invite you to scroll down and give them a try.  Using much more conventional camera technology, James also created a little behind-the-scenes of this Conran family shoot (James was was the Art Director and his sister Rebecca was the Stylist!).

Please notice, even my niece, Faye, makes a cameo (she’s the tiny Chihuahua).

BEHIND-THE-SCENES: What more can I say about the August ELLE UK? I’ve talked about my cover, I’ve talked about the editorial… I’ve even mentioned the article I wrote about Cindy Crawford and Iman… but have I told you that James created the official behind the scenes video for Elleuk.com?

Yep, they liked his work on my blog so much they hired him as the official videographer for the 2-day, 20-picture shoot! It was so fun. Have a look at what really goes on…

JPG + CRC.

James has created my new favorite behind-the-scenes film! Please enjoy watching the special Jean Paul Gaultier retrospective for Elle magazine I’ve been talking about allllll week. You’ll notice it turned into a night shoot as the clothes, sent from France, were stuck in customs almost the entire day. Still, we worked through the night to get the two cover shots and editorial done… in fact, if you pay close attention you’ll see one extra picture that never made it to print.

Like the song? Its our friend ALLIES.

PRAGUE - KARLOVY VARY

Remember a few months ago I posted THIS picture from the winter wonderland of Czech Republic? Well, I can now tell you that I was there to shoot a spring campaign for John Lewis stores in England!

Thats right, SPRING CLOTHING IN THE DEAD OF WINTER.

Needless to say, I nearly froze to death every day of the shoot but I think the results were quite beautiful. James was with me and shot a little behind-the-scenes for you all to see. I must say, he’s quite handy to have around! If you notice in the first scenes (filmed in the town of Karlovy Vary) there are these natural thermal springs that everyone is drinking from - They are said to have medicinal value and so people travel from all over with these weird little tea-pot shaped cups to drink from the springs. Look out for that!

VS PINK
by Coco Rocha

Hey everyone, I’m currently writing this blog as I fly to Montreal. I’ve had a lovely two weeks in New York, settling back into “real life” with the hubby (yes, I really did just say that). We arranged all the furniture, a few times and worked out little things like who does the dishes (him) and who makes the bed (both of us, since its so massive). Anyway, I just wanted to write a little blog to let you know that I have joined my bud Behati for VS pink (click!) We had fun catching up on set and bouncing around the streets of Soho. Here’s a few pictures posted from my twitter and Behati’s twitter back in May, though we didn’t tell you what it was for at the time!

James & I at Flare
by Coco Rocha

A few months ago I took James to my Flare magazine shoot up in Toronto. There he was sat all cozy, reading his book and sipping on his coffee, thinking he was just going to take it easy while I worked all day!! Well word spread on set that James was an artist with a background in murals and so pretty early in the day he was recruited to draw on the giant chalk board behind me. By lunchtime he was covered in chalk dust and still drawing up a storm. All together I think he drew at least 8 unique backdrops that corresponded to the outfits I was wearing. We had such a great time working together! It was interesting to see how he was inspired by the clothing to draw the backdrop, and I in turn was inspired by the backdrop to model the clothing! Here’s a behind the scenes video from Flare, but go buy your copy now for all the pictures!

Not too long ago I mentioned that I’ve been asked to correspond for ET Canada covering the Grammy Awards. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to ask the stars. No doubt I’ll be asking many of them who they are wearing, but, should they ask me who I’m wearing, for the first time ever I’ll get to say…..I’m wearing myself!!!Yes, I’ve decided to wear my very first creation from my new line at the Grammys!!! My team and I have been hard at work getting the dress together these last few weeks. Just this morning we had another fitting and I have to tell you, it has been so wonderful to see the picture in my head find its way into reality.I don’t want to reveal the whole thing yet (I know, I do love to keep you all in suspense) but I’ll tease you with this very vague and blurry little photo we snapped this morning. In case you’re wondering, we do have a name for the line but we are still working out the standard legal branding issues before announcing that. In the mean time though I’ve been hard at work on the designs and on this first piece of mine.

VOICE OVER
by Coco Rocha

I was just in Toronto to record the voice over for my 1 hour special with E!, which only took about 14 hrs to do. It was so weird, I’m not used to exaggerating my voice but that’s what they like for TV I suppose. A few times we had to stop because I had what they called “Marble Mouth” - It’s when you’re not making sense anymore and you’re slurring words together. When I was finished I felt like I was still exaggerating everything. I don’t know how announcers do it. I mean, they must sound like that 24/7.
